Home The Evolution Of Fighting Games Fighting games date way back even before the invention of electricity or any other form of technology. During these days, the only kind of game played were outdoor games since technology has not yet intervened to come up with indoor games such as video games. Fighting was among the most common games.
However, the game play varied depending on the setting. For example, in Rome, the fighting took place in the Olympic arenas between gladiators. In Africa, the fighting took place in the different villages and it took place between warriors. I most cases, the participants had to fight to the death making the games even more intense. Things began changing in the late 1960’s. This was immediately after the invention of the computer.
With time, the games became more popular and more accessible as the gaming companies decide to leverage them. The trend has gone on up to date with the variety of fighting games widening.
